About the Book
Told through alternating perspectives, Four Weddings and Four Funerals follows the entwined paths of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy as fate unexpectedly brings them together in the most unexpected of settings.
Their lives intersect in ballrooms filled with music, in quiet sitting rooms shadowed by grief, and along woodland paths where restraint begins to falter. With each encounter, logic collides with longing. Misunderstandings linger as attraction deepens, and neither of them remain unchanged by the time they spend in one another’s company.
Darcy is guided by reason, duty, and expectation, but Elizabeth unsettles every certainty he holds. Elizabeth trusts her instincts, but finds herself torn between family obligations and the quiet insistence of her own heart. Each meeting leaves them more entangled than before, yet no closer to understanding how their story might reach a satisfactory conclusion.
Bound by timing and separated by circumstance, they are left to wonder whether their love will ever be allowed to flourish, or if they are merely circling a future that can never be theirs.
Part of the Duty and Destiny series.

Michelle Ray has done it again! A compelling and engaging read for both Pride and Prejudice fans and those less familiar. Read this book and then go back and read Michelle's other titles too - you won't be sorry!
Enjoyable read. I’ve found that I really like plot lines where the angst comes more from without than within the relationship between E & D. I rate most books 3 stars, this one got an extra not because of anything more exceptional than an enjoyable plot. That last part of the book was basically an epilogue, which annoyed me because I don’t like them- so I skimmed it. I would have preferred the book end in the same time line rather than jumping forward twenty years and having the ending revealed in retrospect simultaneously with the later timeline. I didn’t need to meet Agnes and Rose to enjoy the novel. So it lost a star because the ending wasn’t my thing. Personal preference - many people love to be spoon fed the pablum of an epilogue…
Another winner from M. Ray!
Michelle Ray is my favorite author…time and time again she delivers captivating characters and plots…good to the very last word!
A satisfying new variation! Somewhere Jane is beaming!
There is a big difference in mourning the death of a guinea pig, and that of relations, or even your worst enemy. Life has its somber themes. Thank goodness it also has reasons for happiness and tears of joy. This tale is quite in the eyes of the beholder, you, the Reader. The writing style is of short points-in-time, where the Reader has just enough contact to partake of the event - and then, move on rapidly to the next encounter. This Reader loved this style and the short-lived emotions evoked. One at a time, sorrows are surmountable. One at a time, joys are necessary. The HEA is ever in sight. Great writing; great read.
